Reviews - Fiat Punto (2004-) of ChristianChristian - 2011-10-02
It was during my vacation in Kefalonia, Greece, that I got to try out the Fiat Punto for the first time. And although I would most likely never get one myself I have to admit that it did perfectly fine for a holiday rental.
First of all the car is very spacious. On the way from the airport in Argostoli to our apartment in Svoronata we were able to fit both of our big suitcases and three smaller carry-on bags to the back compartment of the car. The fold-down baby stroller fit to one half of the back seat, whilst out 14-months old son took the other half in his baby seat. The car had pretty good power going up-hill and extremely good breaks. I am comparing it to the much more indirect breaking feeling of my Grand Cherokee. The narrow turning circle helped the car steer through the most tight U-turns. Design-wise the car is not very interesting and the boot-open button on the dash is a downright design mistake, as you need to open the car, dive into the front seat and push that button every time you need something from the trunk. But apart from the design the car is extremely well-equipped to take you through the mountains and along the many sand and pebble beaches of this magnificent island. I will not hesitate to rent one again, when traveling abroad. | ||
